Act now PC or never?

The havoc and the damage created by the Maoists ad the Naxals are unparalleled in the history of Free India.  The rebels are attacking every government establishment and are openly throwing a challenge in the  open to the government.  As usual, our Home Minister is extending olives and hoping some kind of divine forces will prevail upon the extremists to come around for talks!  Our entire government machinery is weak and the politicians lack courage too tackle an internal problem which has spread its fangs to at least 5 states now.  Time is not far off when it will  fan out to spread in all nearby states leading to anarchy and beyond.  In fact, a few years back when the Naxals came around for talks in Hyderabad, there was a bizarre  show of strength and might by the Naxals in the open when their comrades flashed guns and rifles which were flashed in most newspapers.  The talks failed  and our government, as usual, did not take any proper or timely action.  The results are very obvious now when we see our fellow countrymen and security people being massacred and killed mercilessly in the problem infested areas.  Now is the time to act for our government and they should take lessons from our neighbour Thailand which cracked down on their Red shirt-rebels  and put an end to the episode.

These Maoists started their rebel from Nepal and successfully overthrew the government and the King of Nepal.  There were suggestions from other countries that India should take active interest in Nepal and control the Maoists from taking charge.  India remained a mute spectator whereas our CPM politburo were actively involved in the talks.  Needless to add that the CPM gave full support to the Maoist movement and were happy to install them to rule Nepal.  Little did they realise that Maoists will be a problem for them  even in their own state of W Bengal.  The very fact that the Maoists are targeting Railways goes to prove that they have been directed to do the  damage as Mamta Banerjee is the Railway Minister whose party is slowly gaining control over W Bengal and is expected to gain control of the government in the forthcoming elections. The CPM after parting ways with the Congress in the centre over the Nuclear issue is finding itself in a tight spot.  The trouble that  the Maoists are creating along with Naxals are all engineered and directed by parties with vested interests.  Whether its Maoists or Naxals, both are enemies of the State and  require firm handling by the centre.  Its time our Home minister wakes up and orders complete flush out of the extremists by taking the cabinet into confidence.  With this action, the credibility of the government will also go up in the eyes of the public both within our country and Internationally.

In the meantime Pakistan can sleep well and also have sweet dreams as India is totally engaged within their own problems and sagging morale!
