Kashmir Simmers

Whenever there is an initiative by India and Pakistan to begin peace talks, there seems to be unrest in Srinagar which starts from stone pelting and ends up in arson, setting  public properties on fire and eventually death of some civilians compelling New Delhi  to send in fresh contingents of armed forces and this exercises does not seem to end at all? What is the solution to end this never ending saga of Kashmir?  who are the forces not liking dialogues to  take place between the two countries? Should the Indian Government be more stern and wipe out the valley of militants once for all? why is that an elected government in the valley is not allowed to govern and complete its full term? Will there be a solution to this issue ever?

India is spending billions of rupees every day just to keep its forces maintained in the valley to thwart any intrusion attempt by the terrorists to create unrest in the state.  This money could be spent on development of the state and its tourism potentials.  Kashmir is undoubtedly the Switzerland of India and given its potential, it can attract tourists from all corners of the world and out beat any European destination in terms of value for money.

Something needs to be done by the India Government to bring in peace in this valley which has been burning ever since independence to make way for the state of Jammu & Kashmir and the entire country to benefit in terms of inflow of foreign exchange through promotion of Tourism and also save considerable foreign exchange as the fellow countrymen will have a better destination within India and would not prefer to travel abroad for tourism.

May the people of Kashmir realise  its potential to earn a major chunk of foreign exchange and put themselves in the top of the order and elevate themselves to be worthy of this great change in attitude.
