China rejects Visa for top Indian Army commander

Chinese embassy in Indian capital New Delhi. Photo: Kachin News Group.

China has done it again! The provoking mechanism that is engineered from China never stops and pricks the Indian government time and again with issues after issues.  They claimed Tibet and denounced the spiritual guru from Tibet-Dalai Lama who has taken shelter in Dharamshala, India. He keeps firing salvos sitting here under the protection and cover of Indian Government.  India is doing nothing to ensure that Tibet is handed over to Tibetans.  The Chinese provoked India by straying into the Indian territory of Arunachal Pradesh and distributing food items and writing Chinese on all the walls and rocks!  Now, they have hit us again denying visa for Lt Gen Jaswal who was supposed to visit Beijing with a delegation.  The Chinese have done their part.  what is that the Indian government is going to do in reaction?  except for the media and politicians individually, there is nothing official coming from the government.

Why does not the Indian government show their displeasure by rejecting some of the Chinese visas?  why not the Indian army intrude into Tibet and distribute Indian pamphlets and write Jana gana mana on the walls and rocks of Tibet or across Nathulla pass?  Why are we only reactive on political issues specially with China and Pakistan on such issues?

Finally, what was the necessity of sending a top Military commander? just to get the visa rejected and brood all over and again and again?  when are we going to learn?

Bhopal tragedy

India Bhopal Pictures & PhotosWarren Anderson Pictures & PhotosIndia Bhopal Pictures & PhotosIndia Bhopal Pictures & PhotosIndia Bhopal Pictures & PhotosIndia Bhopal Protest Pictures & Photos

Its a matter of shame for our country and its entire system that a tragedy which occurred in the year 1984 is being raked up now just to pinpoint a leader who is no more with us.  It is very disturbing to note that the entire opposition is charged with questions which was not there all these 26 years  and more so when the government has not been able to provide adequate solace to the victims either by way of compensation or in kindness.  The question of who let off the chief of Union Carbide Mr Anderson is not important for the people of India.  A loss is a loss and can not be measured in terms of money or compensation.  However, it is the intent of the government that matters most while dealing in cases such as the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.  Arjun Singh as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has absolved the late Prime Minister Sh Rajiv Gandhi and has cited some lame excuses like telephone calls from the Home Ministry in Delhi etc..  The opposition should not insist anything more than what has been stated by Sh Arjun Singh and deal with the case accordingly rather than trying to nail the Gandhi family.  Time and again Madhya Pradesh has been under BJP's rule and the political party could have initiated suitable proceedings to register cases against Mr Anderson, chief of Union Carbide and bring him to face the law of the land.  It is 26 years and it is shameful to see our Parliament spending their precious time on a subject that occurred 26 years back without any benefits for the common man!  This subject is not heading anywhere except wasting time and money of the Parliament in session that could be used for discussing better activities and challenges  that confront our nation.  As I write this blog, my head hangs in shame to see learned Parliamentarians raising this subject which is of no relevance for today's problems and developments.   The moment you switch on the TV set, you either see some scam relating to Common Wealth Games or the Parliament discussing topics that has no value for the present.  when will our Parliamentarians believe and work for the progress of the country unitedly?  When will a common man who has elected such Members to represent them believe that his efforts to stand in the queue and cast his vote to elect a person has not gone waste?  It is sometimes really disgusting to believe that I am a part of this idiotic country where the Parliament meets not to work for the development of the nation but to fight amongst themselves and feel happy to nail someone for his wrongdoings that might have happened decades earlier!! funny, really funny!!

Kashmir- where the Indian Government Burns cash every day!

One question which comes into the common man's minds is "Is Kashmir worth the problems that India is facing"?
Year after years, every day the Indian Government is spending Millions of Rupees for upkeep of its security forces and to appease the people in the valley.  Article 370 gives the people of Kashmir so much that can never be imagined in terms of advantage!  On a recent visit  to the valley, I found lots of developmental activities that were undertaken by the Ghulam Nabi Azad government for the benefit of the people in Kashmir.  Everything is subsidised and to top it all, the entire valley is air-conditioned by nature which is a matter of envy.

The recent developments in the valley has brought in questions that needs to be answered not only by the  government of India but also by the conscience of every Patriotic Indian.  Kashmiris have a new name now-they are called "stone-pelters"!  It is difficult to understand as to how young boys get killed all of a sudden in the valley and how the people can blame the security forces for such deaths?  It is absurd and stupid to see and watch young boys, men and women come out on the streets to throw stones on the security forces who are our guardians at any point of time.  These men are drawn to defend the honour of our country and have a special nische in the hearts and minds of the Indian people.  It is disgusting to see people throwing stones on our jawans and police force and this is one of those rare occurring which one can not see in any part of the world!  Our security forces have been instructed to keep their calm and lie low and take all those abuses and stones thrown at them by all and sundry in the valley.  what a shame this is??

It is time that the government revokes article 370 and make the valley free for living by one and all.  Adopt a policy of central government transfers in and out of the valley and encourage private business anywhere in the valley.  Alternatively, give a free hand to the army and the security forces to finish off militancy and the people supporting it including the political leaders who instigate and ignite the sentiments of people to indulge in arson and looting and burning of the assets belonging to the state!

Proclaim President's rule and discipline the people.  Issue identity cards and compel the citizens to carry it all the time so that the ones without the identity cards can be immediately identified as infiltrators and taken to task accordingly.

If all these things are not working, here is yet another solution for the Indian Prime  Minister to adopt. Ring up the Pakistan Premier and tell him that India wants to be a happy neighbour and as a token of good will and appreciation, India has decided to give away Kashmir to Pakistan but on one condition that Pakistan has to accept the state of Bihar as well along with Kashmir!!! With this the present government can finish off two of its known trouble shooters and be at peace!!!????

India should act, must act now!!

over enthusiastic cell phone service providers

My mother who is 82 years old has been gifted a mobile phone just to be in touch with the family all the time and specially in case of emergency was baffled and aghast to receive an unsolicited  call from the service provider which was a recorded one and asked if the receiver who happened to be my aged mother was in "LOVE" and needed some expert advise on the matter?  My mother just could  not help laughing and continued to do so the whole day which was so infectious that everyone in the household was laughing and rolling the whole day!  Airtel, the service provider, in this case will do well if they filter receipients by their age before soliciting their patronage.

Now, the moment the mobile phone rings, my mother is reluctant to answer fearing the call could be automated  from the service provider and meaningless for her!!
